Match Ticket 1979 Diego Maradona First Argentina Goal #1 V Scotland & Official Matchday Programme

1979 Scotland 1–3 Argentina | Diego Maradona’s First International Goal |

A remarkable piece of early Diego Maradona history, from the afternoon an 18-year-old announced himself on the international stage. This original ticket is from Scotland vs Argentina at Hampden Park, Glasgow, on 2 June 1979, during Argentina’s European tour.

Maradona produced a magical performance as Argentina defeated Scotland 3–1, scoring his first-ever senior international goal in what was only the beginning of an extraordinary career with La Albiceleste.

More than simply a match ticket, this represents the first international goal of the player who would go on to captain Argentina to World Cup glory in 1986 — an outstanding historical piece for any serious Maradona, Argentina or football memorabilia collection
